My Reflection

I enjoyed playing in football clinic with my friends. I learned how to kick the ball and I learned to dribble it with my left foot as well as my right foot. 

My Persuasive Speech - Smoking should be banned

My Reflection: I was learning to write, plan and present a persuasive speech. My success criteria were: - I have an introduction, conclusion, and three paragraphs each giving a reason to support my main argument - each of my paragraphs are at least three sentences long - I have researched and included facts to back up my argument - I speak loudly and clearly to my audience - my speech is between 2 and 3 minutes long I think I achieved achieve my success criteria because I did great on my speech and writing all of it on my own. Next time I write or present a speech I will need to work on write a longer speech. I think I did well at writing my whole speech.

24 hour time telling

My Reflection I was learning to understand 24 hour time and write the time in numbers (digital) and words. In this activity I had to figure out the time. I think achieved this activity because I knew time like PM and AM. My next steps in learning time are to make sure that I do the digital time right.

Any Excuse - reader's theatre

My reflection:
I was learning to read aloud with expression.
My success criteria were to:
- read with a loud, clear voice
- change my voice depending on the punctuation
- hold my book so that the audience can see and hear me clearly

I think I achieved my success criteria because I read loudly with a clear voice, I stopped at the full stops, and I held my book so my audience could hear me clearly.
Next time I do a reader's theatre performance I will work on speaking louder.
I think I did well at listing. 

Youthtown Term 3

My Reflection

we were learning to play a new game to practice our basketball skills.
I enjoyed playing the games because it was playing with youthtown.
my next steps are to practice my throwing and skills,catching,passing.

Fractured Fairy Tale venn diagram

My Reflection: I have been learning to compare a traditional and fractured fairytale. I found this tricky because I had to remember what happened in each of the fairy tales. In this activity I had to write things about the differences between the two fairy tales. My next steps in my writing are to write in more detail.

Using a place value strategy

My Reflection: I was learning to add two digit numbers using place value. In this activity I had to add numbers and equal them to find out how much a dog will cost. It will cost $143. I found this easy because I already knew what the answer was because I worked it out in my head first. My next steps are to keep working at using this strategy.

Rio Olympics 2016

My Reflection

WALT answer a range of comprehension questions. In this activity I had to read the information and answer the questions. I found this easy because I already knew some information about the Olympics. My next steps are to make sure my answers are more than one word long and are in full sentences.

Matariki Poem

My Reflection
WALT write an acrostic poem about Matariki
I haven't written a sentence for each letter. The first word of each of my sentences starts with a letter from Matariki. I have written about the main features of Matariki, and my writing makes sense.
My next steps are to make it be in a sentense.

What am I

WALT:compare and measure length and height in different ways.Success criteria:
-I have measured my height and arm length in hands, metres and centimetres
-I can say what shape my arms and height make me.

didn´t use touch. Next time I will try to write only 100 words.

I was learning to use my Number knowledge to slove addition promblems.
I found this easy because it was the Numbers and i had to do the pluses

100 Word Challge

I found a key it fell from the sky and I put it in my bag when I got home I took it out and looked at it for a while and then  I threw it out the widow. On Tuesday it was sleeping with me I tooked it school and showed it to everyone but some how it had growing legs and it did something the way out and I chased it all the way to john key and I saw him and I was thinking that it ran to john key cause it  had a key in john keys name and john key got key and and got his guards and he told his guards and his guards to open the three gates the sliver,bronze and gold the three gates had traps inside them cause john key fell in the gold one the trap and john key fell all the way to the bottom and he saw the Rock and john key closed his eyes for 30 secs and john key opened his eyes and it was just a normal Rock but then the key saved john keys but.but something was did'rent because the key had a black hat but the key was hiding something  but it had a soar tummy and it had team but everything was black in there team.but we going to fight but we stoped.

My Reflection
I was learning to use descibing words to give my writing more meaning.I found this easy.because is was easy to write.I liked this because it was fastanting.

welcome to my year 4 learning blog. This year I am in Room 15 and my teacher is Miss Massey, I enjoy playing outside and this year I am looking forward to doing reading and Maths and I hope you will enjoy my blog and leave lots of feedback.
